"It's just not fair."

It's not uncommon for kids to feel cheated when a brother or sister gets prizes or gifts and they don't. We can use these moments as teaching opportunities to teach our kids to be thankful and content in their circumstances. We can remind them that everyone's circumstances are different and that God has a unique plan for each of us. I like Philippians 4:12, "I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation." Christ alone. So by cultivating a spirit of gratitude and trust in God's plan, we can help our kids develop resilience and a perspective that goes beyond fairness. By helping our kids understand that life isn't always fair and God has a plan, we can guide them toward a mindset of gratitude, contentment, and a life following Him.
